Agent Designation-Certification

An agent must be designated for any individual owner who does not reside nor have a place of business in Princeton or within twenty miles of Princeton, and in the State of New Jersey, or if ownership type is a Corporation, Partnership, or Limited Liability Corporation. An “Agent Designation/Certification” form must be submitted with the registration.

Parts I and II of the Agent Designation/Certification form are required to be completed and submitted by the owner of record. If the form is submitted online, the owner will receive a submission receipt and the form will be forwarded to the designated agent’s email address.

The designated agent will receive an email advising that their signature is requested. When the form is signed, the agent will then need to submit the form and will also receive a receipt when it is received by the Bureau of Housing Inspection.

If the form is not submitted online, it will be the responsibility of the owner to have the designated agent sign the form before returning it to the Bureau of Housing Inspection.
