Program Coordinator
Salary Range: $15-$18 per hour
May 6-June 28 – 8 hours per week (flexible)
July 1-August 30 – 25 hours per week (9-2 flexible)

Description: Seasonal/Summer job opportunity to supervise 40+ working youth ages 14-18. Candidate will be collaborating with a 2nd coordinator to supervise the program. Youth/Students are placed in local community jobs for 8 weeks during the summer. Candidate will be responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate participant records including payroll documentation and management. Ideal candidate will have experience working with high school students of diverse backgrounds. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with people of all ages, organizational skills including time management and the prioritization of tasks, and excellent interpersonal skills. Possess a high energy and enthusiastic personality. Pay depends on experience working with youth.

Experience with program design, implementation and evaluations. Ability to implement tasks and activities independently. Duties include but are not limited to: oversee program activities including daily monitoring of worksites, participants and day to day program operations. Must be comfortable to enforce program policy and procedure and take disciplinary action when needed. Responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating activities and events for the participants. Evaluate and assess program, and recommend modifications.

Requirements: MS Office proficient (Word, Excel, Mail Merge). Have reliable personal transportation to access local job sites/locations (gas reimbursement available). Must have experience working with this age group in similar settings.

Must satisfy employer paid physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License in good standing if operating a Municipal vehicle. NJ residency required by State Statute. R.S.52:14-7
