PARKING OPERATIONS METER BAG REQUEST

Prior to placing a dumpster or other fixed object on a municipal roadway, applicants must also obtain a permit to excavate or occupy the right of way, from the Engineering Department. This application can be found here.
If you have received a Right of Way permit please enter that number on the application.

Parking spaces are at a premium in Princeton and does not provide for selective parking arrangements for workers to park on the street next to their job sites.
Situations do arise, however, when it becomes necessary for Princeton to provide meter bags. Purposes for which a meter bag will be issued shall be limited to the following situations:
1. Special Equipment - that must be located in close proximity to the construction site (i.e., welding equipment, roofing equipment, tar machines, dumpsters, moving vans, cement trucks. etc.).
2. Special Events - (i.e., funerals, camera equipment, etc.).

NOTE: Construction workers or others who do not qualify for a meter bag must unload their tools at the job site and then find proper parking. This hardship is similar to that faced by local merchants and office employees on a daily basis.

HANDICAPPED NOR CURBSIDE PARKING SPACES CANNOT BE BAGGED


All requests must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the date the meter bags are needed

FEES
Fees are established by the Mayor and Council - Ordinance 2009-30

Daily Rate (or part thereof):
Single - $15.00 / bag
Double - $30.00 / bag

If additional time is required to complete your project, please submit another application and pay online by the end of the day you originally requested the bags to be removed.
